January 2013 Sportsman

Friday - Jan 18th is our 1st Legends Outfitting Night!!!  Come and enjoy and bring your friends.  3pm -9pm We have a Special $3500 Gun Raffle.  Winchester 70 -300 Mag. Custom Shop.  We will also be doing hourly door rafles, free dinner, and raffles.  Meet 10 outfitters from around the world.  Our place will be packed with unbelievable taxidermy.  Please come and bring your guests and enjoy an expectional night!!!!!

November 2012

I would like to thank everyone for their patience while we have been under construction with the new addition.  We are shooting for a completion date of the end of November.  I am excited along with everyone for the use of the new room for meetings, classes, and rentals in the future.  Please spread the word that we will be renting the new room and also the existing club house for all occasions.  For more information on renting the facility please contact Julie or myself.

Winter League Warm-Up Shoot:

We will have a pre Winter League warm up shoot in the month of November.  Shoot 4 lines (100 birds) and then your name will be in a drawing for great prizes.  (See flyer below).  Also, starting November 7th, we will be opening on Wednesday’s thru Winter League.  Hours will be 4 pm to 10 pm.  This should allow our members more days to get their Winter League shooting done.

August 2012 Newsletter

So far we have raised almost $57,567.00.  That is an unbelievable amount of money.  We have just about covered one half of the project.  This has been accomplished by about 120 members.  If we can get the rest of the membership to get involved we could reduce our amount we have to borrow.  We are striving to maintain KCCL as the “Premier Shooting Sports Facility in West Michigan”.  The more money we can raise the more we can upgrade, and the less we have to borrow.  So please think about helping if you have not.                                          Until next month…Tim

“Capitol Campaign Update”

I would like to say a “BIG” Thank You to all of our members who have donated to the Fund.  I’m just amazed at the generosity of our membership.  I have faith in our members that we will top out at somewhere near $60,000.  As of June 25th, 2012 we are at $47,000.

June Sportsman 2012

I’m looking for a special someone!!  Next month KCCL is holding the “Michigan Junior Skeet Championship.”  We have invited Sub Juniors, Juniors, and Collegiate shooters from a 3 state area.  We’re trying to give these kids a “Special Shoot” just for them.  No adults, no pressure from adults, and hopefully this will bring more kids out to shoot registered targets. I’m looking for a sponsor to help buy prizes, trophies or medals for their awards.  We would also like to give the kids a free lunch.  If you are that “Special Person” please give me a call.

May Newsletter 2012

I want to thank everyone who made it to the Open House on Wednesday. We had a good turn out and a lot of good questions from our members. If anyone has any questions about our plans for the future of the club or would like to make a donation to the building fund please feel free to contact me. We are hoping to break ground in July with hopes of being done this fall. I’ll keep you informed on the progress.

April 2012

Well I dont know where to start.  I am torn about what to tell you about. First of all, we are trying to raise sponorship money for Gilda's Club our chrity shoot for 2012.  So, we are asking our members if they or their businesses want to sponsor our shoot.  Second, we have a capital building fund we are trying to get off the ground.  So we are out begging for money, so that we cab expand our clubhouse.  So, what I am trying to say is we would greatly appreciate you sponsoring one or the other.  Maybe some would want to do both.  Thank you in advance for your generous consideration.

In the Spotlight

The Legendary KCCL Big Bore & Double Rifle Shoot.  Sponsored by Krieghoff International, Federal Ammunition and Ledgends Taxidery and Outfitters.  June 28th, 2013  11am-5pm  here at Kent County Conservation League.  Krieghoff will be bringing their guns and Federal will be bringing ammo.  Everone is invited to try their guns out.  Free BBQ Lunch will also be available.  For more information  - Check out the flyer (go to downloads, click on Big Bore Fyler)

 

Thursday's in May and June - we will be running the 30 bird flurry and having Fish and Chips.  COD or Lake Perch

Last Wednessday we will be open is May 8th.  We will open back open on Wednessday's in the fall.
