I want to thank everyone who made it to the Open House on Wednesday. We had a good turn out and a lot of good questions from our members. If anyone has any questions about our plans for the future of the club or would like to make a donation to the building fund please feel free to contact me. We are hoping to break ground in July with hopes of being done this fall. I’ll keep you informed on the progress.
Well I dont know where to start. I am torn about what to tell you about. First of all, we are trying to raise sponorship money for Gilda's Club our chrity shoot for 2012. So, we are asking our members if they or their businesses want to sponsor our shoot. Second, we have a capital building fund we are trying to get off the ground. So we are out begging for money, so that we cab expand our clubhouse. So, what I am trying to say is we would greatly appreciate you sponsoring one or the other. Maybe some would want to do both. Thank you in advance for your generous consideration.
The BOD has approved a long range planning process which will include additions and renovatrion of the clubhouse along with up keep and improvement of the property. We want to maintain KCCL al the "Premier Shooting Sports Facility in West MIchigan. In the upcoming months look for opportunities on how you can become involved I would love to talk with you on how you can help out.
As some of you may have noticed, we are in the process of switching over to pink clay targets! We want to do something good in the name of the KCCL, sportsman, and the clay target sports in general. Pink is for Cancer Awareness. We convinced Champion to supply us with pink clay targets for the next year! We are committed to donating One penny for every target we throw in 2012. We have chosen “Gilda’s House” as our charity for 2012. Gilda’s offers a multitude of services, including free education and a support community for children, adults, families, and friends who have been impacted by cancer or have experienced the death of a loved one. So come out, shoot some pink targets and help us raise money for a great cause!
If there is someone out there interested in making their own donation to help us out, give me a call. We also have set up a charity shoot for Gilda’s House on Wednesday, May 16th, 2012. Check out the flyer on the back page of the sportsman. We hope that we can have a good shoot to raise money to go along with our penny a target donation
I would like to take this opportunity to say “Thank You” to all the volunteers in this club that helped make 2011 another successful year. I am not going to name these people for fear I would leave someone out. But you know who you are. I will mention and give a special “Thank You” to Red Shepard for his years of dedication for helping in many different ways. If you have spare time and are interested in volunteering we would love to have the help. Also, don’t forget that March is our Annual election of B.O.D. and Officers.
